Name: Scott
Occupation: Electrician
Annual Income: $ 65,000
Scott, after regular working hours of his day job, has taken on the task of completing the unfinished basement at his home. Although he is trying to do most of the work himself to maintain his modest budget he understands that a reasonable amount of plumbing work needs to be done, and upon receiving some cost estimates in the $ 6,000 range has determined that the plumbing work does not fit into his budget.
The following are Scott’s options:
A.) Borrow from his high interest credit card, or take out a bank loan to get the work completed quickly by a professional plumber.
The downfall of these options is that Scott will now go further into debt and will be paying a high amount of interest on the money borrowed; he will also be tying himself up financially.
B.) Leave the plumbing work until he can afford to have it done.
The downfall of this option is that he may be waiting a while and until the plumbing work is completed certain parts of his basement cannot be completed either as a result.
C.) Post an ad with The RedSaw to offer up his skills as an Electrician, in exchange for the services of a plumber.
The benefits of this option are as follows:
